ONLY 11 POINTS SEPARATE ROCKY MOUNTAIN POINT LEADERS

WATERS GETS 12TH USAC WIN IN SLC 40-LAPPER

Only 11 points separate two-time USAC Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Champions Jimmy Wysong and Jim Waters as they prepare for a July 24 USAC Western Sprint showdown at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Waters, of West Jordan, Utah, scored his 12th career series victory Saturday night at RMR. Waters passed Paul Marconi on lap 10 and led the rest of the way in his Young Chevrolet/Beehive Bail Bonds Beast/Chevy to beat fast qualifier Wysong, Luis Ramos III, Marconi and Eric Barlow.

Wysong and Waters have finished no worse than fourth in their four starts this season. Each now has a 2010 victory on their resume. Wysong’s 16 career wins lead the all-time list, while Waters ranks second at 12.
