JONES AGAIN #1 IN BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS OPENER

Tony Jones of Norco, Calif. continued his winning ways at the Perris
(Calif.) Auto Speedway Thursday night, winning the opening night 25-lap feature
event in the 13th "Budweiser Oval Nationals" presented by Temecula Valley Pipe &
Supply. The win for Jones and his Alexander Racing La Villa Restaurant/Ferreira
Dairy DRC/JD Performance machine was his fifth in the past six races at the PAS.
Trailing Jones at the checkered flag in the 25-lap National/Lucas Oil USAC/CRA
feature were Blake Miller, Damion Gardner, Jerry Coons Jr. and Mike Spencer, Coons'
finish boosted his National point lead to 41 points over Levi Jones, who finished
20th. Spencer's finish left him 58 points ahead of Miller in the new UCAC/CRA
standings. The "Budweiser Oval Nationals" continues Friday and Saturday nights at
the PAS.
