USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship

 

TRACK:

Ventura Raceway (Ventura, California) – 1/5-mile, dirt oval

 

EVENT:

79th running of the “Turkey Night Grand Prix” featuring the USAC NOS Energy Drink National & Western States Midget Qualifying, Qualifying Races, Semi & Feature. USAC West Coast & VRA Sprint Car Heats, Semi & Feature.

USAC Midget practice on Wednesday, November 27.

 

STARTING TIMES:

Pits open at 11am Pacific, drivers meeting at 2:45pm, grandstands open at 3pm, hot laps at 3:15pm, immediately followed by qualifying and racing events.

 

TICKETS:

All tickets that are not reserved are $35. Reserved seats are $45 for ages 13 and older and $20 for ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $50 each.

USAC NOS ENERGY DRINK MIDGET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Formats may be altered from base formats listed here at the discretion of the chief steward.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) laps to be run consecutively with the fastest lap counting as the official qualifying time.

- Lock in top 10 from qualifications - will start straight up in the feature

 

QUALIFYING RACES:

- 3 qualifying races with the top 4 transferring to the Feature (12 laps)

- Cars finishing 5-10 in qualifying race to the LCQ

- Finishers 11 on back in the qualifiers are finished for the night.

 

LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER:

- Top 4 in LCQ transfer to the A (15 Laps)

 

FEATURE EVENT:

98-lap race

26 starting cars (not including earned provisionals)

 

MIDGET TIRE RULES:

Right rear: SP2 or SP3

Left rear: D12 or harder

Right front: Hoosier

Left front: Hoosier

Must be a member to earn points
