SWANSON AND GRANT SPECIAL GUESTS THIS SATURDAY AT INDY FUEL RACING NIGHT

SWANSON AND GRANT SPECIAL GUESTS THIS SATURDAY AT INDY FUEL RACING NIGHT

USAC stars Kody Swanson and Justin Grant will be among the special guests at Indy Fuel “Racing Night,” signing autographs and mingling with fans this Saturday night, March 11 from 5-7pm at the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ Grand Hall in Indianapolis.

Swanson is a two-time USAC Silver Crown champion in both 2014 and 2015 and currently sits tied for fourth all-time on the series win list with J.J. Yeley at 15 career victories.  Last season, the Kingsburg, California native became just the third driver ever to win the “Hoosier Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in three consecutive years.

Grant, of Ione, California, was victorious on opening night of February’s “Winter Dirt Games VIII” in Ocala, Florida.  One night later, he followed up that performance with a second-place run, which puts him at the top of the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship standings heading into the bulk of the season, beginning April 1 at southeastern Indiana’s Lawrenceburg Speedway, a place where he’s been a winner twice in USAC competition.

In addition, the Nolen Racing Silver Crown car will be on display at the event.  The famed yellow No. 20 finished third in last year’s “Hoosier Hundred” with driver Jerry Coons, Jr.

Additional guests from the racing world include 2017 Chili Bowl preliminary night feature winner Travis Berryhill as well as the Jimmy Wingo-owned No. 77 sprint car, veteran sprint car driver Randy Hannagan, plus NHRA drag racer Shawn Langdon and monster truck driver Colton Kiser.  Several cars from the world of racing will be on display as well.

To attend the event, fans must have a ticket for Saturday night’s hockey game featuring the Indy Fuel and the Fort Wayne Komets, which begins at 7:35pm Saturday.

Grand Hall is located directly across from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum, outside of the exit of turn four at the legendary one-mile oval that is home to the “Hoosier Hundred” each year, including this year’s edition on Thursday night, May 25 in which both Swanson and Grant will be competing.
