The USAC Eastern Regional Midget Series presented by ARDC debuts Friday at Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, PA and don’t be surprised if a “bright” light emerges in the winner’s circle. The following night the series visits Lanco’s Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway in Newmanstown, Pa.

Defending ARDC Midget Champion Alex Bright and his brother Brenden accounted for eight victories in last year’s 13-race ARDC calendar. Alex won the last of the three races held at Linda’s last year, while Brett Arndt and Trevor Kobylarz also cashed in Linda’s victories. Alex Bright and Tanner Thorson won last year’s races at Lanco’s Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway.

Five of the 17 scheduled USAC Eastern Regional Midget races in 2017 will be held at Linda’s Speedway, with other events there May 5, June 30, August 17 and September 29. The August race concludes four races which also award USAC National Midget points during “Pennsylvania Midget Week.” Lanco, in addition to Saturday’s race, also hosts July 1 and August 15 events.

Other venues on the 2017 calendar for the series include Pennsylvania tracks Susquehanna Speedway in York Haven (April 29, May 20, July 29 and August 13), Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg (June 15-16), Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville (July 21) and Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run (August 14).
