WEDNESDAY HANGTOWN 100 HEAT RACE LINEUPS

Placerville, California (November 20, 2019)………Heat race lineups have been set for Wednesday’s Elk Grove Ford Hangtown 100 finale from California’s Placerville Speedway, the richest-paying USAC NOS Energy Drink National and Western States Midget event of all-time, paying $20,000-to-win and $12,000 to the driver who accumulates the most overall points throughout the two nights of racing, all part of a $150,000 total purse.

On Wednesday, no qualifying will be held.  Lineups will be based on total points from night one.  Six 10-lap heat races will be held.  The top-8 cars will be inverted in the heats based on total points from night one.  Thirty-six (36) points will be given for first place, and minus 3 points per position thereafter.

The total points will then be tallied to line up D, C, B, and A-Mains.  The top-20 in points go to A-Main, positions 21-36 in points go to B-Main, positions 37-52 in points go to C-Main, and all others go to the D-Main.

The D-Main is 10 Laps, with the top-2 transferring to the tail of the C-Main.  The C-Main is 15 Laps with 20 cars and the top-4 will transfer to the tail of the B-Main.  The B-Main is 20 laps with 20 cars and the top-4 transferring to the tail of the A-Main.  No points will be awarded for the D, C or B-Mains.

The 100-lap A-Main will feature 24 cars with the top-12 inverted by points followed by the next 8 in points lined straight up, followed by B-Main transfers 1-4.  150 points will be awarded for first place and minus 3 points per position thereafter.  The driver with the most total points after the Night Two A-Main will be the overall point champion.

Ties in overall points will revert to qualifying times.  The promoter reserves the right to add provisionals to the Night Two A-Main.  There is a possibility of a mandatory fuel stop between laps 40-50 of the Night Two A-Main.

On Wednesday, an autograph session will take place at 3:30pm Pacific behind the grandstands, with the driver/car owner meeting at 4:30pm, engine heat and track pack at 5pm and USAC Midget hot laps at 6pm.

Reserved seating continues to be on sale for the Elk Grove Ford Hangtown 100 and can be purchased by visiting www.hangtown100.com/tickets.
