GOLOBIC WINS “VERMEIL” MIDGET OPENER
Calistoga, California………Shane Golobic of Fremont, Calif. raced around Alex Schutte for the lead on the eighth lap and led the remaining 13 laps of Saturday’s night one of the USAC Light Up the World Beverages Western States Midgets portion of the “Louie Vermeil Classic” at Calistoga Speedway.
Ronnie Gardner took home second ahead of Schutte, followed by Robby Josett and David Prickett. Night two of the “Vermeil Classic” continues Sunday night, September 2 from Calistoga with USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and the USAC Light Up the World Beverages Western States Midgets.
