USAC WEST COAST SPRINTS HONOR BRYAN CLAUSON WITH 63 LAPS OF ACTION AT WATSONVILLE AND HANFORD

Officials with the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series have announced that the upcoming races at Watsonville and Hanford will be dedicated to Bryan Clauson. To honor his memory, there will be 63 laps of green flag racing at both race tracks. With a typical format of three 10-lap heat races (30 laps), the main events on Friday and Saturday will be 33 laps. The 63 total l pays tribute to a great racer, competitor, and friend to the racing community.

According to Competition Director Doug Lockwood, “Spending time with Bryan on the road with the Outlaws last season and running with us at USAC this year, he always had a smile even when he was serious. He never yelled or got mad. He was happy to be racing and I hope that we can remember a USAC legend this weekend with 63 laps of great green flag racing.”

As this writing goes to press, Bryan Clauson ranks fourth on the USAC West Coast Series win list with 10 victories. The Noblesville, Indiana racer claimed four wins this year, with three triumphs during the “Winter Challenge” in Peoria, Arizona. His last series victory came at the Las Vegas “Sin City Showdown” on March 4th, an event that he also won in 2013.
