KYLE HAMILTON TAKES “BORDER BATTLE” AT MORRIS

This Saturday night’s USAC Pavement Midget race at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway is part of a USAC “doubleheader” which also feature the USAC HPD Midgets.

Kyle O’Gara of Beech Grove, Ind. leads the series standings after two races, but his lead is tenuous, just one point over Kody Swanson.

Kyle Hamilton of Danville, Ind. won Saturday night’s USAC/STARS “Border Battle” 50-lapper at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill. He took the lead on lap 46 after leader Austin Prock spun in turn three, then led the final five laps in his Curtis Motor Sales/Domark Racing Spike/Esslinger. Billy Hulbert finished second ahead of Patrick Wilda Jr., Mario Clouser and Ryan Probst.

O’Gara started on the pole but was involved in a first-lap tangle and was unable to return to competition, while Swanson took 11th in the 50-lap contest.
