USAC MIDGET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP OFFICIAL RACE ENTRY FORM

MIDGET - BASE FORMAT

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) laps to be run consecutively with the fastest lap counting as the official qualifying time.

 

HEAT RACES:

8-lap race (Heat races are 10 laps on tracks less than 3/8 mile)

8 starters per heat race

Cars finishing in positions 1-4 will start in the feature event

Cars finishing in positions 5-8 will start in the semi-feature even

HEAT #1: Cars qualifying 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 will start in inverted order. Cars qualifying 25 and 29 will start behind invert.

HEAT #2: Cars qualifying 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22 will start in inverted order. Cars qualifying 26 and 30 will start behind invert.

HEAT #3: Cars qualifying 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, 23 will start in inverted order. Cars qualifying 27 and 31 will start behind invert.

HEAT #4: Cars qualifying 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 will start in inverted order. Cars qualifying 28 and 32 will start behind invert.

 

SEMI-FEATURE EVENT:

12-lap Race

Cars finishing in positions 5-8 in the heat races will be in the semi-feature event.

Starting lineup will be determined by qualifying time.

Semi-feature event finishers 1-6 earn spot in the feature event

 

FEATURE EVENT:

30-lap race

22 starting cars (not including earned provisionals)

Cars finishing in positions 1-4 in the heat races will be in the feature event.

Cars finishing in positions 1-6 in the semi-feature will be in the feature event.

Starting lineup: Starting positions determined by qualifying time, fastest at the front, with fastest six heat race transfers inverted in positions 1-6.

 

MIDGET TIRE RULES:

Right rear: SP2 / SP3 / SP4

Left rear: D12 / D20

USAC AMSOIL NATIONAL SPRINT CAR FORMAT

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifying is two (2) laps to be run consecutively with the fastest lap counting as the official qualifying time.

(IF MORE THAN 36 CARS) Split Qualifying. Cars in flight one qualify into the first two heat races, while cars in flight two fill the starting positions in the last two heat races.

(IF MORE THAN 50 CARS) Split Qualifying. Top-24 fastest qualifiers in each flight are locked into the heat races (12 cars in each heat). Cars in flight one qualify into the first two heat races, while cars in flight two fill the starting positions in the last two heat races.

 

HEAT RACES

10 laps (8 laps on tracks 3/8-mile in distance or longer)

(IF SPLIT QUALIFYING IS USED) Cars in flight one qualify into the first two heat races, while cars in flight two fill the starting positions of the last two heat races.  Top-6 fastest qualifying cars in each flight are inverted in each heat race. The fastest car in each heat starts 6th, the second fastest car starts 5th and so on.  For the 4th row on back, cars will line up straight up, based on their qualifying times.

Cars finishing in positions 1-4 will transfer to the feature event if four heats are held. Cars finishing 1-5 will transfer if three heats are held.

Cars finishing in positions 5th on back will start in the semi-feature event if 4 heats are held. Cars finishing 6th on back will start in the semi-feature event if 3 heats are held.

 

D-MAIN

(IF MORE THAN 50 CARS) The 29th fastest qualifying car, and on back through the balance of the field, that did not transfer through the heat races will line up straight-up in the D-Main. 10 laps. Top-4 finishers will start in the last two rows of the C-Main based on their finishing order in the D-Main.

 

C-MAIN

(IF MORE THAN 36 CARS) The 15th through 28th fastest cars in qualifying that did not transfer through the heat races will line up straight-up in the C-Main.  10 laps. Top-4 finishers will start in the last two rows of the semi-feature based on their finishing order in the C-Main.

 

SEMI-FEATURE:

The 14 fastest cars in qualifying that did not transfer through the heat races will line up straight-up in the semi-feature event. 12 laps. Finishers 1-6 earn a spot in the feature event if 4 heats were held. Finishers 1-7 earn a spot in the feature event if 3 heats were held.

 

FEATURE:

Starting positions determined by qualifying time, 6 fastest at the front, with the 6 fastest qualifiers who transferred through their heat races inverted by their qualifying time in the first three rows, positions 1-6.  If a heat race winner is not in the top-6 inversion, that driver will line up directly behind the six-car invert, based on their qualifying time, followed by the balance of the field based on qualifying time. 22 starting cars (not including earned provisionals).

Left rear: Hoosier

Right front: Hoosier

Left front: Hoosier

SILVER CROWN - BASE FORMAT

QUALIFICATIONS:

(1-mile tracks): 1 Lap

(Less than 1-mile tracks): Two (2) laps to be run consecutively with the fastest lap counting as the official qualifying time.

 

SEMI-FEATURE EVENT:

12-lap race. Cars qualifying 25th or slower will start according to qualification time.

 

FEATURE EVENT:

**(1-mile tracks): 100 Laps, 30 Starters. Cars 1-24 will start according to qualifying time. Cars 25-30 will start according to finish position of the Semi Feature event behind cars 1-24.

**(Less than 1-mile tracks): Laps posted by event. 24 Starters.

 

SILVER CROWN TIRE RULES:

Dirt (One Mile Tracks): Right rear: F85A / F95.  Left rear: D50 / F55

Dirt (Half Mile Tracks): Right rear: RD20/D25/F85A.  Left rear: SC12

Pavement: Right rear: M55.  Left rear: M30.
