Hi, my dad just gave me a 1972 USAC National Champion ring from 1972, for Sprint cars. Has his name one it by the year. He was the owner of RB Racing back in the early 70's, (he is Ray Blakeman) and has another ring (I think from 73?) I could swear I remember that one year they were points winners and the other driver champ (Lee Kunzman was the driver) but dad is trying to convince me that this 1972 ring is for third place.  Anyone know the stats? I can't find what I'm looking for on Inet.

The dates are the time of induction to the hall. Obviously you did not read the article........

dang blast it, I just missed his name last night... was slightly daydreaming on the memories when I saw names of other drivers I recognized and remembered growing up with.
