I am sure this is probably too early for us to know any information, but I saw the press release on the Briggs site about the new M series Animal engine built specifically for Quarter Midget racing.  Any word on whether this means we need to purchase new engines next year?

Oh yeah and if we do have to buy new ones, how much a deep discount is Briggs giving everyone that bought into the platform this past year? Smiley

No need to run out and buy the new motor. The only difference is the new M motor has a black painted blower housing. All the enternals are the same as today's motor.

I assume the only difference is that since these are coming preinstalled from the manufacturer they might be sealed?

Was just thinking about this again and I wonder if the new black shroud model is going to be the requirement if the "other organization" decides to adopt the Animal platform as well.  I hope that isn't the case but I could see that happening.

I think the "other organization" stopped considering the Animal... last I heard.

That's a bummer, I think it is one of the best things USAC has done especially for the Juniors.
