Also...on the information for the East Coast Challenge Series, it says transponders and mandatory.  Do they rent them at the track or is it mandatory for us to have our own?

Right now everyone is running in the 7.50 to 7.70's in the Jr. Honda and 7.30's in the Animal. Track records aren't up because they were made before the tier 3 flywheel.

Won't USAC have transponders to rent for their races?

If not, what kind are we supposed to use?

What Lyra said, what kind of Transponder do we need?  AMB is the most popular transponders out there, but USAC uses the ones from the Raceciever company.

Which is used at Metro Atlanta and will that system be used for the East Coast Challenge Series and the Gen Next race?

The ECCS is between the tracks you will have to check with one of the track presidents on what they plan on doing for that series.

Sure hope there's some kind of accommodation, because at over $400 a pop (new AMB), that's a bit steep.

.... ok, there's a karting version for $285. but still. That's a few tires right there.

Would the gear ratio for Heavy Honda be the same as Jr. Honda.  I assume no.  Any recommendation, this will be our 1st time at the track.
