We continue to be impressed with USAC’s presence in Quarter Midget Racing. This is not a shot at QMA as we are QMA members and plan to attend some QMA events in 2010. Straight up points from our discussion on 2010.

Our drivers have chosen to focus on racing USAC events in 2010 – here are the reasons our family made this decision:

•   Scheduling of spectacular new racing venues – Disney! IMS! Eldora! Little Hoosier 100!   Kids dream of walking these hallowed grounds let-a-lone racing on them!
•   Off hour activities at events – i.e. exclusive open house at Tony Stewart’s race facility!!
•   Removing 90% of the raceday politics – clean family environment
•   Working to control the cost of racing
•   The USAC/Indy/NASCAR drivers interacting with the children – driving tips to autographs
•   RACEceiver – great for safety and huge time saver
•   The atmosphere of professionalism from the time you arrive until you depart
•   The pace of the event – no downtime waiting on volunteers and judging calls
•   Cowboy’s calling of every race, heats to mains – rivals ESPN
•   Making of membership and event badges at the events – kids loved the event badges!
•   USAC’s safety director – professional and consistent – no gray area
•   USAC’s Flagman – consistent and treats the children with respect
•   USAC’s strike system – this one took a bit for us, wow has it cleaned up the driving
•   Live Web cast – friends, relatives and sponsors watch from across the country
•   Winner’s ceremony – Medallion, Trophy, Hoosier Headband, Hat Dance – priceless
•   Point 25 National Champions attend the National USAC Banquet with the “big boys”
•   Racing apparel and professional event race videos for sale at the track
•   USAC’s events look, feel and have the atmosphere you would expect at the Regional/National level
•   USAC’s Professional and Respectful – Interaction top-to-bottom, Events, Website, Sponors – exhilarating experience

PS: Tony Stewart – you have a bunch of new fans!! Building a .25 track at Eldora and opening your race shop up for these kids!! Thanks Tony!

We are very excited about the upcoming year. We are hoping to make 5 events but as everyone knows, the economy has a lot to say about it. This is why we are hoping for at least one more National in the South.

Thanks,
Mike
