Your shots are amazing.

I bought my wife a nice, well, nice on a budget, DSLR to shoot our son's quarter midget races with. She gets good pictures with the 200mm lense, but they look like polaroids compared to your work. I love how you can read the brand on their tires even though the are running at speed.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of equipment does it take to get shots like that?

I am shooting with a Nikon D-70s.  With that particular picture, I used my 70-300 zoom.  Not a real fast lens, but good for daylight, no flash shots.  For the panning shots like that one, a fast shutter speed and practice, practice, practice works for me.  Most nights I probably toss 1/3 of  my pictures.
