I would like to know what people are suppose to do when they need to purchase a New GX-160 engine due to eengine problems beyond repairs? The only GX-160 engines that are available right now are the New GX-160 engines that USAC has claimed illegal to run for now.

Have you tried NR Racing?
http://www.nr-racing.com/qmamotors.htm

Looks like they have engines from Japan advertised on the website.

There are no tech specs in place, in QMA or USAC, for the new engine. It will not pass the current tech specs. What would keep someone from "improving" the perfomance of one if there is no way to tech them? We have already been through this with the switch to teir II and then tierIII. What is the rush to make everyone lay down cash?

This has got to be a bogus post by someone who just wants to run the new 160 because it will beat the best of the old ones right out of the box. I talked to two engine builders yesterday who assured me that the new engine will not pass current tech specs. Not a big deal but the new specs have not been written yet. If you need something to fix your engine and I have it I will send it to you. Period. No reason to make a kid sit out.
