Anyone got Kirky seats in stock? They said if I order direct and should have to exchange the seat due to poor fit or something there would be a 10% restocking charge. Customer relations?

Get a Lajoie seat and it will fit the first time. Wink

Thought about it but my boy has hit a stage where he is growing by the day. The Kirky I can adjust on the fly instead of sending it back and waiting.

There is a guy selling a Kirkey seat for what looks like a decent price on the QMA classifieds.

Correction...there are a couple of them on there...

swartz rodney's got them in stock. But  the lajoie seat that Laurens has in the 600 can't be beat. Just think swartz by the time he's done growing you would have paid for the seat.

When we got our Kirkey seat I got it from Day motorsports they were the only ones that had the size we needed in stock.  I am thinking about upgrading to a LaJoie seat does anyone have a ball park price on one?

We bought ours a year ago and it was right around $600 including shipping for the Lajoie seat.

We need a 15". Have been looking at the 51300LW with the short head and shoulder restraints 51311LW. Just don't know without setting the boy in it if 15" is OK or we need a 15 1/2" for "snack" room.

Myron
Take two books one on each side of his hips in the sitting positon, measure across from inside to inside, this will give you you right measurement. If you add a half inch it is not going to hurt anything. Going a full inch will make a difference from a 15" to a  16" is a huge difference. If you get too big of a seat you can always form fit it to your driver.

Kears Speed Shop in Tiffin has multiple seats in stock and many different sizes. I was there Monday night and it is nice to try the feel of each seat and size. They had both Kirkey and UltraShield in stock. You could call Mark at 419-448-9551 he can answer many of your questions .. and ask for Rankin pricing.  LOL    Eric

Thanks Eric. I'll check them out. Kirky's attitude really surprised me. I have bought a lot of seats but never one I didn't set in first. I'm thinking they lost our business for the next 30 years or so.
