The Mac-O-Chee club invites all to our 4th Annual Beauty Bowl Memorial and Hall of Fame Inductions THIS WEEKEND - July 13, 14, 15. We will be inducting the late Floyd Ganson (engine machinist, club official late 1950's-early 1960's); drivers from the 1950/60's era Barney Scott Jr and Butch Stewart; and Mike and Chad Barr (owners, officals, drivers with the revitalization of Mac-O-Chee in the late 70's-90's). The induction ceremony will be on Saturday at 7:00pm rain or shine. We will also introduce all current drivers and will recognize retiring drivers.

Not only is this a time to celebrate the rich history of quarter midget racing, but it is a time to have a lot of FUN with our children. Beginning Friday, with a $5 entry fee, your driver can take part in our Sprint Cup races - 4 cars - 5 laps - all drivers get a cup sized on finishing order and get to fill it with CANDY. Following our dashes for candy, we will have our Senior Half race open to all handlers. If you put together & bring your own trophy - NO entry fee; if not - $10 entry fee. Sign-in's for Friday's races are 6-7 pm. Open practice 9-6.

Saturday we will have sign-in's 9-10 am, with open practice 9-10 am. $10 per car - Every participating driver will receive special awards. First to sign in; last to qualify. For all classes, we will be doing qualifying and feature events. If we have more than 12 cars, then we will lock in field and have last chance race. At 11:00 am, we will do all our Honda divisions. At 3:00 pm we will qualify & feature race our Briggs and Stratton divisions. Following our Hall of Fame ceremony, we will qualify & feature race our Deco classes (All types of decos welcome).

Also on Saturday, at 5:00 pm, we will have our first annual Mac-O-Chee "Mac-N-Cheese" cook-off. All are invited to bring your favorite or most unique Mac-N-Cheese dish. Everyone will get to taste-test and vote for their favorite. Special award given to the favorite. The West Liberty Lion's Club will also have a fish fry (I think $9 for all you can eat fish, slaw, cookie, drink). We will also be having a "Best of Show" voting for our vintage cars.

Sunday will be our Mid-Ohio Championship race. Sign-ins are from 10:00-11:00 and $20 per car.

We hope to see you all there this weekend. We may be dodging some scattered raindrops, and may need to make some adjustments in events, but will do our best to get in our show.

Thanks to all who attended the Midwest Thunder event last weekend. We hope that you enjoyed the park and will come back and visit us! Drivers - you all did an outstanding job with full fields of 11-12 cars on the smallest track in the Midwest area; you all should be commended! To all of the workers, thank you for officiating and scoring over 835 laps of racing in 80-110 degree weather.

See you this weekend!
