Title: EXPANSION OF ENGINE RULES Post by: Dirts4Farmin on April 21, 2009, 03:26:50 PM Starting the 2009 season, 410 cubic inch engines with certain intake restrictions to be announced will be allowed in the Western State Sprint Series. The 410 cubic engine specification currently is being utilized throughout USAC’s National Sprint cars and the USAC/CRA Sprint Series based in California. The modifications to the rules will allow National and CRA race teams can utilize the engines they use in their series to participate in the Western Pavement Sprint Series. The restriction will be announced after testing is completed to ensure equalized output of the current 360 based series. With this change, USAC CRA and Western States Competition Licenses will be one combined License. Does anyone have any further information on this? Is anyone running a 410 in the Western Pavement Series? If so, were they checked for the restrictions at Madera and Roseville? Without strict tech procedures this could get out of hand quickly especially at a bigger track like Irwindale. |
