Title: Generation Next Tour Schedule
Post by: USAC Developmental on February 06, 2009, 01:39:54 PM
Here is the link for the 09 USAC "Generation Next" Tour schedule.

http://www.usacracing.com/quarter_midgets/news_qm/2074.html

This will be an 8 race series with 7 of the races counting towards the points championship.  The only race that will not count for points but will be part of the series as a Special event is the O'Reilly Raceway Park event as part of Kroger Speedfest with the USAC Mopar National Midgets and Silver Crown Cars.

We look forward to this great series for the kids!

No throwouts? That could be tough.

Personally, I like the no throw out idea.  Everyone has bad luck from time to time and those truly committed to a series will go to all races.

I agree with you goffin20, we don't do throw outs in any other sport.

i would just not like to see a kid be in the hunt and have a family emergency or something and hurt his or her shot at a championship because of no throwout. then if its in the beginning of the season you have to wonder if they would continue that particular points series.also most racers will run all of them so they can get the best possible points. and im ready to hit the dirt but that may not be the case for all.

I know a few tracks my son has wanted to race and it looks like he will get the chance.
