Title: Stolen Quarter Midgets
Post by: kdillin on April 15, 2011, 04:25:01 PM
Hello - We have had some quarter midgets stolen from our trailer on April 10, 2011. We are asking for any assistance in finding them. Only the cars were taken from our fully loaded trailer, as we were to race last Sunday.

Lawson,  when our kids quarter midgets were stolen our homeowners insurance wouldn’t pay for anything that was race related.  We did find a company to insure our race equipment for 650.00 for up to 33k of coverage and 20.00 per for every 1k over 33k.

WKA gets some sort of group discount and I am sure that USAC could probably do the same.

This was about 4 years ago but the contact at that time was

Oh, and if the cars are found like one of ours were, the police will not do anything as they do not have a VIN or Serial Number on them like a motorcycle, ATV, Car, Boat or even Bicycle does.  Due to the price of QM's, this is something that should probably be looked into starting on the frames to protect everyone.  600 racing doesn’t allow a car to race that isn’t registered.

You could also try data dot which could be used on everything in the trailer and maybe this would be enough for the police to get the stuff back.  http://datadotdna.com

Take plenty of pictures and record all information to all tools, engines, equipment etc.
