Title: Updated Rules
Post by: Ezone on November 09, 2011, 03:37:46 PM
I see that the 2012 rules are out.  I expect the new 120 and 160 will be coming soon.  But I have a question in general and have seen  this called differently at differnet times on the same track and on different tracks.

See 1713-26
Case -- What should happen if 2 cars or more make contact.  None are 100% at fault.  Say Car A hits the brakes (goes DOT) and car B continues on after the contact.  A yellow will come out for the DOT.  Should both cars be sent to the rear?  Generally, what I have seen in other forms of racing is no, only the DOT(s) would go to the rear.  I have seen this called both ways during local events.  Maybe its stated differently in another section.  We had this happen a couple times this year and there was never a 100% at fault.  It was just racing.  Not l;ooking for one over the other, I may have an opinion, but really just looking for consistency.
