BACON BACK WITH HOFFMAN FOR 2019 USAC SPRINT TOUR

Loveland, Ohio………Two-time  USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champion Brady Bacon has reunited with Hoffman Auto Racing for another run at the series title in 2019.

Bacon, of Broken Arrow, Okla., captured each of his two titles in 2014 and 2016 aboard the Hoffman ride, the two most recent USAC National Sprint Car championships for the venerable Ohio-based team – the winningest team in the history of the series.

“I am extremely excited to be reunited with Hoffman Racing for 2019,” Bacon said. “We have always worked well together, and I hope to replicate the success we had in our first run together.  I look forward to helping add more to the already impressive legacy the Hoffmans have established.”

Hoffman’s Dynamics, Inc. team finished second in series’ standings with driver Kevin Thomas, Jr. in 2018, tying with driver Tyler Courtney atop the series in points, but losing out on a tiebreaker based on feature victories.

“When we were unable to work things out for 2019 with Kevin Thomas Jr., we jumped on the chance to get Brady back in the Mean Green car,” Hoffman Auto Racing President Richard Hoffman said. “We want to thank KTJ for all he and Whitney (Thomas) did for us in 2018 and we wish them nothing but the best in the future.”

Driving his own No. 99 in 2018, Bacon earned four USAC National Sprint Car victories at Eldora Speedway, Grandview Speedway, Plymouth Speedway and the Terre Haute Action Track en route to a fifth-place finish in the standings.

Bacon is the winningest driver for Hoffman Auto Racing in terms of USAC National Sprint Car wins with 15.  Hoffman-owned cars have won more USAC Sprint Car races than any other team with 108 total victories (103 National, 3 Special Event & 2 Midwest) dating back to its first in 1956 – the first year of competition for USAC.  No other team owns more USAC National Sprint Car titles than does the Hoffman team with 11 since 1989.

For the tenth consecutive year, the tour begins in the Sunshine State for “Winter Dirt Games X,” three nights in a row at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla. on February 14-15-16.  The Hoffman No. 69 has won three features at “Winter Dirt Games” with Darren Hagen in 2012 and Bacon in both 2014 and 2015.
