Speedway, Indiana (August 1, 2021)………With a whopping 52 positions advanced throughout 2021 NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL, Stevie Sussex has earned himself the moniker of ProSource Passing Master for the seven-race series.

Driving the Tyler Sturgeon Racing/Shaggy’s Consulting – K & N Filters – Red Line Oil/Maxim/J & D Chevy, which sported one of the most popular liveries throughout Indiana Sprint Week, paying homage to The Mystery Machine featured of Scooby Doo fame, the Mesa, Ariz. driver earned the bulk of his passes in two events.

Sussex’s two most notable nights came during the opening race of the series at Kokomo Speedway where the 2017 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year passed 24 cars.  Five nights later at Lincoln Park, Sussex added 23 more passes to his total.

Sussex earned a $500 bonus courtesy of ProSource by advancing the most total positions from his starting spot in all prelim and feature events throughout the entirety of ISW, and was already thinking of his future plans for the cash added to his wallet.

“Thanks to (ProSource President) Buck Rice for the Passing Master.  That really does help a lot; it covers my airfare,” Sussex said.  “I had a good week with a lot of ups and downs.  When we were down, we somehow dug out and passed a lot of cars.  I’ll take that $500 and maybe get on a flight to Smackdown or something.”

In Saturday’s finale at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) made a surge from 22nd to 8th in the feature that put him just one point short of Sussex at 51.  Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) finished with 46 while Kyle Cummins (Princeton, Ind.) got 45 and Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) 41.

Robert Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.), the inaugural Indiana Sprint Week ProSource Passing Master in 2020, finished 20th overall this year with 16 passes.
